Welcome all information seekers! On this page we have information for practicing as well as information on each instruments (including fingerings, scales, and history).

Instruments, Practicing, and Games

  • Have a goal for each practice session. This could be mastering a new song or accepting a new challenge.

  • Set a deadline for when you must have a certain piece done by. Make it reasonable.

  • Good practice means "intentional" practice. Do not goof off. Do not be distracted. Even if you practice for 5 minutes: make those 5 minutes full of uninterrupted music

  • Switch the time of day/setting for practicing. One week try practicing in the morning. The next week try practicing in the evening. Practice outside. Practice in a park. Go to a relatives house and play for them.

  • Leave the instrument out from time to time (in a safe spot), so when you would like to play: you just have to pick up the instrument.
